Can a GT filter or is it as good as a car?

Can a k-gt filter through traffic with ease or does it take real slow precision riding. It looks, and feels really wide. When I test rode one, I didn't get the time to take it through London's hustling traffic jams, but instead joy-rode down a highway to Brighton.
