Center stand recall

Just had word from my dealer that there is a recall for the GT's center stand at this side of the pond. I didn't get exact specs yet, but it has to do with the stops that can bend (like some of us have experienced).

I will get you more info when I have it (unless someone beats me to it )

Grtz,
Erwin

Erwin,

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't seen anything from my sources. If you get any details (problem description, solution, VINs effected, etc.), please post it.

I do know that my dealer has replaced several sets of the stops. The recommendation we've been given until there is a more permanent fix is "do not use the centerstand" or "be very careful when using the centerstand - don't let the bike slam against the stops". Since it's not a flying brick that smokes whenever you park on the sidestand, I haven't used my centerstand that much.

I thought the admonishment for using the center stand was to take the load off the rear wheel bearing ???
That's what I was told on my RT.
Enlighten me boss.
