Touch Up Paint?

After a 3 hour ride in sunny, 68 degree temps I bump a side case against my truck while putting the GT in the garage. The resulting scuff if only about an inch long but will drive me nuts until I get it repaired. Paint definitely was taken off as the scuff will not buff out.

Is this an easy fix? Is there little bottles of matching touch up paint for my CGM? Am I being too anal?

Call Bob's Bmw

Take off the Battery cover and you will see the paint code. Bob's Bmw has the touch up paint and can overnight it to you. I am sure you can make it passable.

I have a little problem that is a quarter of an inch. You arent the only one that is OCD. Hey you are human. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. But should't there be only 3 colors (CGM,Blue, and graphite)? Wouldn't there then be just 3 paint codes?

Closer to 3 million. "BMW Paint Codes" include codes for every paint colour ever used on any BMW - MC or Car. They don't differentiate.

Tomster,

On the BMWSportTuring site there are several great tips on touch up using factory
color sticks. If you are anal, and don't want to spend for a professional this is what I recommend looking at.

You sit on pins and needles waiting for the first ding/scratch on your new bike. When it happens, it's almost a relief.

I did mine today.

Whilst working out in the gearage, I staggered past the bike and caught one of the cases with the clip on my pocket knife. It's a small scratch, but it's there. Sigh.

Doesn't someone make a clear protective plastic sheeting that is cut to fit the side cases?

paint

BMW will no longer supply paint in any form this side of the pond, expect it is a world wide policy.
