The GT as a Tourer [Almost?] Done

At the suggestion of a member the latest iteration of the GT has the very dark gray Cee Bailey windscreen. Also, the luggage rack has been re-powdercoated a black/gloss, the Bill Russell Day-long is the seat du jour, the wheels were changed sometime back to the K12S spider wheels in graphite and K12S tires. I don't have the courage to undertake the installation of the HID/Xenon low beam, altho' I have the kit.

Here's the latest look, full well realizing that it is a bit controversial looking compared to the stock GT and that it may not be everyone's cup of tea:

Thanks Jeff, as I said tho' not everyone's cup of tea as it's a bit radical for a tourer. If I ever had the topcase painted I think I'd go for the entire bike black (or the dark gray as it's close enough to black for me.) And, I just wouldn't trust anyone to take the whole thing apart so likely this is gonna be it.

Tom and Cee Bailey are a pleasure with which to work. I didn't even know a custom windscreen was available, until I asked him. The only caveat was the the screen, with a custom tint is not refundable. Hell, I didn't think any screens were refundable. It's not opaque btw as at some time I presume I will hoist it up to get rain protection .

Nice! You might be setting a new trend with the shield and rims.

Thanks for the nice words Chris. I may have asked you this before but I find your USERNAME interesting. Back many years ago there was a Sunday comic strip called "Gasoline Alley" and one of the characters was "SKEEZIX". Phonetically the same as your username? Coincidence or what?

Rgds,
John

John, you're welcome. I'm really pleased at how the bike has turned out.

"Skiziks" was my Dad's pet name for me and unfortunately since he's no longer with us, I can't ask him if that's where the name comes from as you suggest. I picked the phonics myself, my Dad could have easily been thinking "Skeezix".

Tell me more about Skeezix it may solve a mystery for me. Thanks John.
