Trade panels?

I have an '07 GT in the dark graphite color, with silver side trim. I was at my local dealership yesterday and saw a new '07 with the same colors as mine, but reversed. I didn't know they were going to do that. If anyone in the Southern California area has one with the silver on top and wants all silver, I'll trade the tank panels and trim so you have all silver and I have all graphite.

It's not the norm, but you can order any color bike with the silver or gray trim. Two scenarios that might explain it is someone ordered and backed out. Or they may have swapped the main body panels with another bike for some reason. Either shipping damage or a buyer request.

If the dealer you were at was Brown Motor Works I've seen them do that from time to time to give you a mix and match color that you can't order. They used to have some outstanding looking R1100S bikes by doing that.

Smile Panel Swap

I have the CGM and always thought swapping out the dark panels for the lighter ones would be great. So, definately interested. Just to make sure I have the color you are interested in I can e-mail you a pic of my panels if you would do the same.

I have the dark panels on mine. I think the light ones look better myself. Don't know about a trade tho.

panels

Here are mine, also we are talking about all of the panels including the ones that run around the sides behind the rear seat? Obvious question but, just want to make sure we are on the same page. Sorrry, Don't mean to sound anal.

Yeah, what I'm talking about is the tank side panels and the trim pieces which are below the seat.
