laser duo tech exhaust

I got talking to a guy at a BMW ride and he had a laser duo tech exhaust on his GT. He was really happy with the performance and said it was like being at 1000rpm higher with the old pipe. He was a bit of a talker so took it with a grain of salt.

However, I looked into getting one because t sounded great, but I discivered that laser does not make an exhaust for the GT. I spoke to the re-seller in australia and he said that the exhaust from the R and S fits the GT and that it works fine.

What do you guys think?

I'd ask your reseller to "put their money where their mouth is", bring in one on spec at their cost and trial fit it. If it works great, if it doesn't you're not on the hook.

Remus makes a very nice can for the GT. Have you checked it out? It comes in carbon fibre, titanium and aluminum.

Sli8p-on Exhaust for 07 GT

I am contemplating replacing the stock exhaust in order to have a better sense of where my revs are to better sync gearing changes, but I do not want to alienate the world with a lot of noise.
There seems to be a lot of vendors making slip-ons for the NG GT, but none (that I have found) of their sites have any comment on the dB rating. Anyone have an audio site of an aftermarket unit installed?

You need more noise for that? I still feel like the GT is running about 1K rpms too high, at least that's what it sounds like with the stock exhaust. Of course I'm coming from an LT that could sneak up on (and pass) sport bikes, so I'm a bit biased.

Wouldn't the exhaust for the R or S be more upsweapt and clash with the panniers?

You had better make sure you don't want to change to an S before you spend money on the exhaust, Ben. you will just lose more money!
