OK, I just sent off an e-mail to them and hope they respond in English as my French is terrible.

City Lids

Hey guys, I got the lids promptly from France without a hitch. I was waiting to get them back from the paint shop to try and post some pics. I'll keep you posted.

City Lids

The lids were about $390, pretty pricey I know. That cost is going to fluctuate some of course depending on the daily exchange rate with the euro.
The painting cost is what bites the most because the lids have to be sanded first to remove the textured surface if you want it to match the existing paint. I wanted it to match. Plus, I didn't shop for the cheapest bid. I went for the paint shop with the best reputation for good paint jobs - didn't want just anybody who can throw paint doing it. Anyway, the paint job is costing $460.
End cost is pretty outrageous I guess. But, I like this bike so much that I plan on keeping it; unlike the past four that I was not totally happy with. I'm not sparing any efforts in setting this bike up to my liking.

FYI, I too have ordered the City Lids from the French site this weekend. I sent a contact to them asking if someone would contact me as my Frecch is limited. Gregory Besson from the French BMW dealership mailed me and guided me thru the ordering. They posted a "kit" below the lid order. He said that the "Kit" was included and didn't have to order it. I also asked about hinges and the attachment for the tether. Said that you will use the orig hinges and that there is the attachment for the tether on the new lid. Can't wait for delivery. Oh, delivery is 31 euros--but no sales tax.
