Smile Rear Diff Oil Change Success!

Well, I did it. Used a winch, a pulley, and a tree saver to suspend the bike by the front wheel. Drained the oil out of the rear diff. It works and took about a half an hour. I put Redline Synthetic Heavy Shockproof oil in. Does anybody know if there is a tranny drain and fill like on the RTs or is the tranny bathed in motor oil?

The tranny is part of the motor and shares the engine oil. No separate drain/fill plugs like on the older Beemers.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Im sorry guys. I didnt take any pics because I was so concerned the garage rafters woudnt hold so I just got down there, drained the oil and lowered the bike back down. I didnt want to delay. It was easy though and took me longer to set it up than the actual procedure. I replaced the stock fil with redline Heavy Shockproof gear oil. Great stuff. Total time for oil change, including set up, 20 minutes. Nothing disassembled. :yeah
