Angry Shifter..!

Anyone having issues with the shifter on the new GT's ?

When you look down at the position of the footpeg relative to most outward extension of the shifter peg, there is a hugh difference. When I shift, I must reach over, and twist my ankle to get under the shifter every time !

Would anyone like a new shifter assy, that puts the peg farther out to place it more in-line with the footpeg ? Or has someone else already done this ?

I reckon it's perfect the way it is. I prefer the shifter being out of the way so you have plenty of room for your foot when not changing gears. However, I don't feel that I am consciously moving my foot sideways to change gears and didn't even know it was offset till I had a look after Jim's post. It just feels right for me.

Riding an RT a couple of days ago I felt my foot was cramped by the gear lever and didn't feel comfortable at all with the gear lever position. Maybe the RT lever is more in line with the footpeg and this is what you are used to Jim? I will have to have a look when I go past the BMW dealer.
