I gotta know

OK, so I've been looking around here with the idea of trading in my futura on a KGT. Iam leary of the parts problems I may have. I've had a few minor issues with it but I'm worried about availibility issues but I don't want trade one potitional problem child for another. so with all I've read about ECU, idle, seat and other issues, would you still buy your GT?

In a hearbeat. All bikes models have problems, you usually hear more about the ones having them.

Absolutely!

I took my GSA in for service this week. I told the tech that there must be something wrong with the bike as I have not burned up all my oil, my final drive didn't take a crap, and the splines were still intact. He looked at me and said "You spend too much time on the internet."

The point is that what you read here is delivered in an amplified fashion. Its the nature of the medium.

A few years ago I was reading a marketing journal and one of the passages went something like this "If someone has a problem with your product or company they will tell 9 people, if they like it, they will tell 1 maybe 2."

Get the bike. Be nice to your dealer and techs and all will be good.

I would sell all of my other bikes to have this bike again, even with the small issues.

Like I've said before, 98% of the time my bike is PERFECT. It sounds like the newer bikes are sorted out or pretty dang close so I wouldn't hesitate to go for it. In fact, I may just buy an '08 and sell my '07 later in the year to get a well sorted machine.

Love this bike...

I would buy the GT again in a moment, knowing it isn't a perfect machine.

Now about that Futura, that is a keeper.

Absolutely

I've had my 2006 GT for about three weeks. It was not "sorted" when I purchased it, but now it is. All the problems and fixes noted here at this website have been addressed, as of this past Friday the 4th. Saturday it rained, but I was still able to understand some of the incredible riding skills of this bike.

Okay, I have not addressed the seat.... My butt just isn't very picky about seats. Never has been.

Best bike I ever owned.

Great question. Absolutely, I would buy the bike again.

This web site is fantastic and yes, as a result, you hear or read about numerous issues. I have to believe that some are one-of-a-kind. Others are things to watch.

The best part is that I often hear about it before most dealers.
