Thumbs up 1st Trip

Just got back from VA..

Rode out last weekend, did 700+ first day, 630AM to 500PM..

Had problems keeping my speed down, it just wants to go.. go.. go..

Finished second day, with about 550, or so.. getting in around 4PM

Got off I-81 at Rt. 220 and went thru Covington to I-64 / Rt. 60 & back into Lexington. Was good to get on some secondary roads for a change. I stayed on the big roads just to make good time... Had to get away from those crazies on the 81, it was a mad house Sunday afternoon.

I averaged 43MPG on this trip, at 75 to 85 MPH, except when I had to pass someone, and then I felt obligated to get at least 3-digits out of it, and of course, that's not too hard to get, right ! and there were a lot of 18-wheelers that had to be passed !

The Sargent seat did give me a bit of a 'but burn' after about 400 miles on that first day. That was a bit disappointing Second day, it was not quite as bad, but I forced my position farther back on the seat, for better support. That seemed to help. I was using a LazyRider as a backrest and it was forcing me up into the tank...

And as for the C-Bailey +3 / +4, not enough protection for for-arms and shoulders, wind blast all day long was very noticeable for me. Everything else was OK....

Put bike in back of U-haul truck for trip home, and what a blast that was ? !

Overall, very pleased with bike on trip...

Butt burn? Shoulda got a Kontour.

Damn, I could have hooked up with you. I81 sucketh large and should be avoided at all costs. Parts of 220 rock and it's only a so so road for that area.
