what GPS units can I use on my bike?

I bought an '03 K1200GT with the BMW GPS harness and cradle installed. What GPS units will fit other than the BMW unit?

Ummm... BMW cradle and harness?

If you are talking about the wiring harness and cradle from BMW I think that you can only use the BMW GPS made specifically for that cradle...

If you are only talking about the mount, then pretty much any GPS with a standard bolt pattern would fit. I would suggest the Garmin Zumo 500 or 600 series.

I assume that the mount is for Navigator III or lower. You can use the Navigator III, Navigator II. The Garmin 2610, 2720, and 2820 are similar units but may not work in the BMW Navigator craddle. Look around and you may find a BMW Navigator III. They are not cheap.

I recommend a new zumo 660. It may be cheaper than a new Navigator.

Navigator III
AS Cycles $998 - http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=47908

zumo 660
Amazon.com $639 - http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-4-3-Inc...3170185&sr=8-1

Be careful. I have a new Garmin 1490 which I wanted my local dealership to wire up into the existing GPS plugin for my bike, and it turned out the voltages are different and I would have fried the GPS unit with the voltage straight from the bike. I ended up with a new wiring setup straight to the battery, and ending with a BMW cigarette lighter adapter, which I could then use with an OEM power cord/cigarette lighter plug, which reduced the voltage down to the correct amount.

I just read the fine print on the rebate and it's specifically states that the rebate is not valid for Amazon.com purchases.
