Zumo 665 & Autocom SuperPro AVI - low sound

I had a 2730 and it worked fine with my Autocom. It died so I bought the 665. The problem is the volume is about 15% lower than the 2730 and I can't hear music, directions, etc. at speed. Have any suggestions? I have the Autocom cranked all the way up and the 665 at 100% volume.

I bought a amp at one of the BMWMOA national rallies for under $100 a few years ago. Now, I can only crank the volume up to about 25%. Can't remember the manufacturer, but the bike show is next week in Chicago. Check some of the vendors.

If you are into soldering electronics you may increase the amplification in Autocom.

You replace the 9V regulator with a 12V and then you change the value for 4 resistors.

One option that I have not tried my self, which may work, is to replace the stock speakers 32Ohm with 8Ohm speakers from Autocom.
