Garmin XM Receiver Puck Cable

The cable/puck/receiver that accompanies the various Garmin GPS units that have integrated XM/Sat. radio, etc. is TOO F*ng long. Seems no matter what, there is this UGLY coiled cable especially when the puck is only a foot or less from the Garmin unit. Anyone come up with a neat, aesthetically pleasing solution?

I have shortened the XM antenna wire 2 or 3 times now. It is a really small coaxial wire, shield with central wire. If you are careful it can be done. The length doesn't matter it works just as good long or short
Hope this helps
