I recently read Pirate's article about the NUVI on his K12S, it looks very slick and you realy can put in your pocket. I am carried away by it but wanted to know what the BMW nav III extra's are and if it's worth the extra $600.00 to have Dealerships listed...

BYTW Pirate where did you get the mounting brackets from?

I do my own stunts

I followed Pirate's advice and got a Nuvi. I use it both in my car and on the bike. I got his ztechnik bracket and it was incorrect. he arranged with the manufacturer to drop ship me the correct bracket and I am now happier than a clam in cool water. Pirate even showed me how to mate the Nuvi with the mount so it is quite unobtrusiver and is smart looking and easy to see in a very convenient position. I will finish the installation as I have to do a little reconfiguring using a dremel wheel on the spare bracket I gor on the web for $20.
This weekend, I used the Nuvi walking around in a new town.
BTW, the battery runs about 6 hours before needing a recharge.
