I'm not sure what you are buying but today in the mail I got a flyer from BMWNA giving me a Navigator III if I buy an K1200LT, R1200RT, or a K1200S. They say its a $1399 value.

Hi,

The equivalent Garmin is usually the better buy.
The only plus to the Nav II is the additional function buttons/cradle and the built
in BMW dealer waypoint list(this is downloadable from other sources).

You can get MP3 and XM radio on the Garmin, can't on the BMW.

I had a Nav II. My screen touch input broke early on but was fixed by Garmin after a few weeks.

The screens on the new GPS units are much better.

I think $900 is a bit much. I paid $1000. I traded it in with my RT so I could get the Nav 3.
