Remote for Nano?

Must have been a good boy this past year 'cause I got a Nano from Mrs. Claus. However, one drawback to the small size is the difficulty in working the controls with gloves. I checked out Griffen Airclick--great device--but not compatable with Nano. Any ideas?

Nano Nano, no wait, that was Mork

I too have a iPod Nano, haven't seen anything when at the Apple Store at the mall (too crowded and line 20 deep to get to the cashier). Was going to look for somethiing that would work well with gloved hand and try to find a better headset than those ear buds (too damn hard to keep them positioned correctly under the helmet).

As to the remote, I think I'd prefer something hard wired to the nano becuase I'm sure I'd drop the remote somewhere along the road.

As to the ear buds, I think I'll pick up a pair of Koss plugs for about $20 and see how those work out under the helmet. Should be mutch better than buds, since they fit in the ear canal and souldn't have to up the volume as mutch as I do with the buds.

Unhappy Don't like the Koss

Went for a 45 min ride this AM with the Koss buds and Nano. My ears started aching toward the end of the ride and the Koss buds didn't filter out much background noise--needed to turn up the sound at higher speeds to hear the music but couldn't due to lack of a remote. Taking the helmet off was very painful as the buds pulled out despite my best efforts. Gonna look for custom made in-ear plugs/speakers along with that elusive remote.

http://www.earplugco.com/ I've had a pair for five plus years. Bob is a fellow site member and great to deal with.

I've got this remote that's key fob size(put it in the map slot on my tank bag) and a transmitter plugs into the ISB slot on top of the player...for an ipod mini. The thing is called RemoteRemote for Engineered Audio. It works great. They may have something for the Nano. Here's the link: www.engineeredaudio.com

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted them and nope, nothing currently available. I guess there's a price to pay when the player is so small. I'm getting use to it--put in the custom molded ear pieces, just set the mini on random and place it in the top pocket of the 'stitch and I'm good for 16 hours.

We use it the same way. Problem I had was that if I wanted to change the volume or other setting or stop it for some reason it was a PITA cause I had to get it out of my pocket, etc. Hopefully, they'll have some remote for the NANO soon. You'll want one as soon as they are available.
