Purchased a new Gen 5 iPod. How to move your iTunes Library?

Is there an easy way? I guess there is a "back door" to hidden files. Apple has to have people who have upgraded and want to move their extensive library (and purchased music) to their new pod.

Any wisdom?

All the mac users I have spoken with say that there is no tech support for them because everything is right there... straight forward.

BTW, I type this on a PC and just want to rib those who use macs...

Good luck!

If all your music is in iTunes, then all you need to do is plug in the iPod and voila!

If you've deleted that music off your PC or Mac and are looking to move music from one iPod to another, your're SOL -- unless you find a 3rd party solution.

Moving Ipod music

If you set your PC to let you see the hidden files you will be able to see the Ipod Control folder when you click on the Ipod in My Computer. In the Control folder in a file called music. Copy this to your desk top and then move it to the new Ipod.
