Solving interference problems on Baehr Ultima XL

My system ('07 K12GT with Baehr Ultima XL, Zumo 550 with XM, and an ipod) works perfectly except for interference using the bluetooth feature on a cell phone. I presume it's
electrical interference from the bike (no noise with bike not running, noise varies with rpm if running). NO problems with other audio. I tried several other new phones from AT&T
(they were kind enough to let me test them) and got exactly the same noises--so it's not the phone.
Anyone know if Baehr's noise filter (#ZBI-CAEF-03-01--plugs in between Zumo and
Baehr unit) works? If not, any other solutions-- I"ve heard of a company called Navone Engineering that makes various noise filters for this application?

MUCH OBLIGED

Is the phone powered of the bike too? If it were, I'd say you got a ground loop issue going on between two-bike powered devices. A ground-loop isolator might work, or maybe one of John Navone's isolated 2 amp power supplies feeding the Baehr.

If it's not powered of the bike, can you hardwire the phone's output into the Baehr direct and bypass the Bluetooth as a test? I pretty much gave up on the Zumo's Bluetooth and used a separate BT dongle to the cradle when I was playing with it.

Thanks for the input, Mack.

The way I set the system up, the phone was running off its own battery. I COULD
run the phone directly into the Baehr unit, either on battery or by adding another power supply to the bike's battery (I assume the 2.5 mm RCA output on the phone doesn't carry
power), but I would be giving up the zumo BT features (phone book transfer, large & legible
screen, ablity to dial waypoints stored in Zumo database, etc). Most important function
is sending/receiving calls (I have to be on-call alot), but I'd like to keep the Zumo features if possible......

Many thanks
