Question I wear ear plugs volume to pillion problem

I just recently installed an Autocom Active 7-smart system.

With the cold weather my wife hasn't been out on the bike since the installation.

I wear a Concept helmet and need ear plugs to block out the wind noise when riding. When I'm out the GPS sounds clear and normal. Today I took both helmets out to the garage and plugged them in to check to make sure everything worked OK.

When I put my helmet on w/o ear plugs I noticed the GPS volume was loud. The intercom was normal. The loud GPS volume compensated for the ear plugs.

I can either turn up the Autocom to match the GPS volume and turn down the GPS to complensate, but that would overdrive my wifes helmet as she doesn't wear ear plugs.

Has anybody encountered this problem and what was your fix?

Thanks
