set case holders optional, right?

my k75s came with set case holders installed, but no set cases i can just pull these off and leave them off, right? i googled around for k75 photos and it seemed like every one I was finding had the holders installed, so I wanted to make sure they don't have a structural purpose before I removed them.

Easily removed and no structural purpose

But save them in the event that you want to buy cases and travel someday.

"What follows is based on actual occurrences. Although much has been changed for rhetorical purposes, it must be regarded in its essence as fact. However, it should in no way be associated with that great body of factual information relating to orthodox Zen Buddhist practice. It's not very factual on motorcycles, either."

If you decide to get bags:

Even if you don't want to spend the money for integral bags, you may want to get the city bags... smaller but also dirt cheap on e-bay. Everyone seems to go for the bigger bags.
