K100RS @ 3500 to 3800 RPM

Anyone know what would make a K100RS run rough @ around 3500-3800 RPM?? The bike has a full Luftmeister exhaust system on it, can't believe that would be the cause, but maybe. The bike won't run smoth at that RPM, change the fuel filter again, no change, could it be an injector or the control box? Have had two other K100's in the past, one with an after market exhaust system and never had this with either of them. Doesn't matter what gear I'm in, just that RPM! Any thoughts?????
