K75S Battery Cover

I am trying to install the battery covers on a '90 K75S. When I got the bike they were held on with small bungees.
My covers have a number on them that do not come up when I search for them on the parts site. 46631455725 and 726 are the numbers on the panels. They have a pin in the rear and a hook at the bottom that have attach points that line up. At the top front is a mushroom type pin that has no where to go. I have the spring clip, but do not see anyway to attach it to the panel or frame. The only part I do not have is the hook, #16 on the diagram that is pictured under the radiator cover but listed as a part for the battery cover.

It looks like your bike has the same panels as mine. On it, the tank has grommets on the side that the front post of the battery/side cover pushes into.

There are two styles of side covers:

Ones that fit 86+ K100s and K75RTs (the K75RT has the same gas tank as the K100s.) Sounds like what you've got.

Ones that fit K75, K75C and K75S models that have the smaller K75 gas tank. Those have two hooks at the top the mount to the tank seam and then a flat metal spring that sits on top of the tang sticking out from the frame with the rubber cylinder on it. That's what you need for a K75S.

I've got a right one in red. No left though.
