gear indicator 3 relay setup

I am getting closer to finishing the wiring on my bmw k75 engined car. I have got the engine wiring done and now move onto the internal wiring for a speedo and gear indicator.

I have read repeatedly about using a set of three relays to replicate the original setup, But haven't been able to find any pictures or wiring diagram for it. Has anyone does this?

Let me know,

When all three wires (yellow/black, yellow/blue, yellow/white) from the gear position indicator switch are grounded the transmission is in neutral and the circuit in the instrument cluster puts out 12V to the starter switch on the green/black wire. It's possible to emulate this by hooking up three relays in series.
