K bike electrics are not complicated. Very car-like, with an alternator. Many faults can be fixed simply by cleaning terminals and connectors with a good electrical cleaner (like Caig DeOxit) and coating with dielectric grease.

You can find all the wiring diagrams online, and lots of advice on the forums if you need help.

Thanks for info I intend to dismantle loom by loom replace all connectors I failed to mention that this bike was left uncovered in a yard for 3 yrs But it still started on fresh Petrol. Can I get a coloured wiring Diagram for this Bike. It was purchased new in Dubai By previous owners Dad the ended up here in Ireland.

Can't you find a wiring harness on fleabay or some of the other used parts sellers? That would probably be the easiest.

But if you really want to work with what you have you better go look there for ideas on the tools and how to keep the wires sorted as you work:

The BMW "Wiring schemes" seem to be still available for your bike, paper copy and not in color. I am still trying to work my head around the ones for my K1200RS, nothing simple there...

Supplement???? Don't know if it would be a translation to the non-available ones in German. The later one I bought for the K1200RS has all the supplements included.

Corrosion???...I'd be a little worried about the centerstand. They tend to corrode internally and may collapse on you. I don't think mine was corroded and still collapsed back then.
