K100Rs Ram Shock

Struggling with RAM shock set-up on my 1990 RS....got Ram fork springs, 10 wt oil. It's wallowing in corners, have gone up to 35mm exposed thread and 5 clicks preload....I weigh 165 lbs and always have the cases on......Tyres are new Bridgestones and head bearings etc. all in good order....any advice out there....it is very stable in a straight line but I do like corners.........
