Hi all new member. 1st question is what holds down the underseat grab handle. Its sprung loaded to pop up but I dont see anything that holds it down. Previous owner put a tie wrap on the frame to slide over handle. 2nd with bike on center stand and in neutral if i spin rear tire by hand i can feel and hear some pad drag, is this normal?

I think the handle should be held DOWN by a spring at it's base. At least that is how my '85 works. If it wants to spring up, maybe the spring is installed incorrectly.

Sounds about right. Previous owner probably installed spring backwards. Thanks for reply.

I re-read your first post and didn't answer this- very light scraping of the brake pads is not unusual. It should in no way impede turning the wheel.
