Help with 22 litre tail bag K1200GT

I have unfortunately been caught in the rain one to many times with out my tail bag covered. As a result, the inner cardboard support has become to plyable to provide the proper support. Since BMW does not sell the support seperately, I would like to know if any one has a fix for providing support for the bag.

Your advice would greatly be appreciated.

Run to Home depot or similar. Get yourself a piece of 1/8" MDF and a quart of paint or deck sealer to make it water proof. Cut to size, coat, dry and you're done!

Might be a little heavier than the cardboard, but way more study.
