New Helmet

We just got our new Nolan N-103N com helmets with the blue tooth module. Nice helmets. I'm going to like the integral dark shield. I will let you know how they work after this weekend.

I've had the N-102 for over a year now and have been very happy with it overall. With the N-com bt kit installed it works perfectly with my Zumo GPS. I look forward to your review!

Nothing wrong with the N-103 Helmet it's really comfortable and in the warm weather is nicely vented. BUT the bluetooth unit, which I transferred from my previous Nolan N-102 where it worked well, is giving lots of problems.
It keeps switching off while in use and it's cause is the Helmet flexing and breaking the contacts between the Outer and Inner parts of the N-Com bluetooth unit.
Anyone else had this.

Thanks for answering one of my questions concerning the transfer of parts from the 102 to the 103. I wasn't sure if it was the same BT kit or not. How about the basic kit? Will I be able to transfer the basic kit from the 102 to the 103?

I noted on the N-103 there is a Basic Kit2. That "2" leads me to believe something has changed.

In the N-102, the Basic Kit (speakers & microphone assembly) is on a one-piece flexible ribbon-cable looking circuit board. In the N-103 Basic Kit2 it is a pack of individual parts that hook up together and no flexible ribbon circuit board.

The Bluetooth button box appears to be the same for both.

Thanks for the info.. I guess when I finally pick up the 103 I'll need at least the basic kit in addition.

Went for a ride today and the bluetooth to my Zumo worked perfect. The wife didn't go so no info on bike to bike yet. I also like the dark inner shield, when riding on shady sections you can just flip it up. I also bought the yellow VPS shield for riding at night but haven't tried it yet.

Is the basic kit that goes on the inside snapped in all the way. When I installed mine I hade a little trouble getting it snapped in, the first time I thought it was all the way but when I put the BT on it moved back a little. Only way I knew that was I had not put the inner foam in yet. If this happened to you it could cause that problem.
