Advice on jackets

Not very many dealers in Hawaii have a selection of the different kinds of hot weather mesh jackets. I don't want to order and send back and then do it again. Looking for a mesh jacket with arm er with come color. I am 6'4" 180lb.w/long arms. What would anyone suggest. I have looked at just about every jacket but have not been able to try them on for only a few. I know this is a lame question but would like people's advice. Thanks

Jacket

Try the Rev'it mesh line. They make a couple of different models. Most of my clothing is BMW but my mesh gear is Rev'it. Good stuff and fairly reasonable.

The rev'it air is very nice, and it comes in colors other than black! I'm 6'2", 180 lbs; and the XL fits great. The arms are plenty long.

I have a 6 year old first gear kilimangaro. Great coat, warm especially with heated vest, still waterproof. I'd suggest this one to anybody.

The guy lives in Hawaii doesn't need a Kilimanjaro. I have a First gear Air Mesh jacket, but lately I think Revit has the best designs. I also have the First Gear Kilimanjaro, and could not imagine it in Hawaii way to hot.

I bought a Vanson Breeze perforated leather jacket and I like it, it's good quality, but after buying it I realized I should have thought it through more. Black is not the color you want when you want to keep cool! Whatever you get, be sure to look for colors to reflect the heat rather than soak it up.

Rev-it is good stuff, the BMW stuff is very good, as is Dainese if you can find it. The BMW stuff runs true to size the Dainese and Rev-it run a bit on the small size.

Good point about the color, and of course my First gear Mesh Tech is all black. I'm waiting for the Revit 2009 Collection to come out. They just give a glimpse on their website, but it should be released soon.

Mesh jackets

I've had decent luck with FIELDSHEER Gear. Good mesh venting,CE armor, sufficient pockets. Currently using a FieldSheer "Congo Sport Mesh" comes w/ zip out thin liner, nice for cooler mornings or, light rain even. First Gear brand offers TALL sizes.
Check out MotorCycle Closeouts.com Good selections, great prices, prompt service.
Best a luck!! chris.

All good suggestions. My personal favorite is www.motoport.com/
Every jacket is custom made. Try the Air Mesh. A bit pricey but great protection and becomes very comfortable after breaking in and a couple of washes.
