AGV Flip Helmet
Admittedly I am a bit of a gear whore. I have several nice helmets -full face and flips-love flips-and my last purchase was the Schuberth C3. It is probably the best I have so far-noise, fit, finish, convince. Last week was browsing in the Dainese store near me, was drawn to the helmets and there was a the new line of AGV flips. Never knew the made a flip. Had to try her on. Very nice. Paint-excellent, fit -for my head-good-no hot spots after walking around store for a while, flip release easy to use with glove on, metal locking tabs that click when closed, visor-easy and good positions on detents, huge ear pockets-this worried me a little, and the price-$179-wooahh. Went home and researched reviews. Its called the Longway outside the US and Miliga in the US. Went back on Saturday and got the RED in medium. About 100 miles on the Ducati-no wind protection on her. Pretty dammed quiet-especially for a flip. Very comfortable. Truthfully couldn't tell it wasnt a full face. Good peripheral vision. And those huge ear sockets presented no perceivable extra noise. Also rode about 150miles on the GT. Same results. Tried several levels of screen height and it was still a pleasant ride with very little outside wind noise. Just thought you'd like to know-really good and very inexpensive choice for a flip.
