Aerostich Roadcrafter Sizing Help

Gang,

I was just commenting today that I should have bought a used Roadcrafter last year when I had the chance. Well, I found another used one (a 2-Piece) in like new condition. I know the jacket is the right size because I've tried them on before, but I'm wondering about the pants. I'm 6'2", 215lbs with a 36" waist and a 32" inseam. The pants are size 48S which Aerostich lists on their site as having 33.5" inseam - sounds right to me, but I'd like to hear from someone who is about my size. I've done some searching for size info and the pants seem to be the toughest thing to size correctly. This will be for cold weather and the rare occasions that I can ride my bike to meetings, so I want the suit to be just a little loose fitting.

Thanks for any help.

Kevin

I'm not your size but I do have a 2 piece 'Stich. I'm 5'5" about 160, 33" waist, 29" or so inseam, size 40 jacket. My 'Stich is a size 42s Jacket and 40s pants. The jacket fits loose enough to wear my Gerbings which is thin comfortably but fleece layers make it snug. The pants are a pretty close fit around the thigh which only allows for a pair of LL Bean fleece lined jeans underneath. I doubt I could fit the Gerbings pants liner over jeans under the 'Stich and still move. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Roadcrafter Sizing

I just received my new Roadcrafter 2pc about 10 days ago. Sounds like you are close to my size. I'm 6'2" with 32" inseam and about 195lbs. My jacket is a 44L and the pants are 42L with some adjustments to the leg. They shortened it 1" above the knee and lengthened it 2" below the knee. It fits fine. At first I thought the pants would be huge when I saw the 42L tag. But when it zips to the jacket it is perfect. If I try to wear it without zipping to jacket though it tends to sag down and is too big around the waist. The solution I am told by a friend who has one is to purchase the add on thing with suspenders that holds them up properly. Then if you decide to zip them to the jacket you have to take that off. I happened to be in Duluth with my bike last summer and had them measure me while sitting on the bike. So they already had my vital stats when I decided to order. Feel free to contact me "off thread" if you wish.

Thanks Richard - that helps. I already went ahead and bought the used 2-piece suite. And if a 42L pant fits you (33"inseam) then the 48S (33.5" inseam) should fit me just right. Because this will mainly be my winter set up, I'm not too worried about a perfect fit.

Thanks again,

KC

I've a 48S Roadcrafter 1-piece. Normally I'm a 30" inseam. The suit legs seemed too long off the bike, but were just right when riding. Be sure to ride.
