Question Shoei X11 or RF1000?

Any experience with comparing these two helmets?

Any online reviews comparing the two?

I have an RF1000 and wish it has a completely removable liner like I believe the X-11 has.

Also the RF1000 shield fogs too easily. Don't know about the X-11.

I had a rf1000 and now use a X-11. The X-11 is much better in many ways: quiter, better venting, and much less wind turbulence on a K1200s. Go for the X-11, it's worth the extra money.

MY RF1000 fogs easily as well. Tried Zook. Dealer claimed SHoei has harder shield plastic and does not take defogers as well as other shields.

Suggested a Shoei Pinion Shield with a fog free inner shield. Works like a champ.

Never heard of the "Shoei Pinion Shield". What is it? Cost? Part#? Availability? Made by Shoei? I need something like this!!!

Thanks

I hate to throw the preverbal monkey wrench in the works, but...

I have an Arai Profile. This could be the best helmet I have ever owned. It is EXTREMELY comfortable and has very low noise up to 115 mph. I also have noticed little if any lift.

I'd spring for the X-11, which incidentally, I'll end up doing sooner or later, as my Z-II is getting long in the tooth. As far as I'm concerned, the removable (and hence, washable) liner feature is indispensable.

I believe these helmets have a slightly different shape. I typically wear an "oval" type helmet such as the Arai Signet & Profile and the X-11 fits me very well. I found the RF-1000 to be slightly round and put too much pressure on my forehead. Try both on and wear them around the shop for a while. No matter what type of venting, noise level, etc. a helmet has you will hate it if it's uncomfortable.
