I've worn a pair of Sidi Strada boots for almost three years now and love them. They are very comfortable and have great protection features. You should be able to find just about anything you like within the Sidi lineup.

Mine are Teknic. There's lots of manufacturers out there with good products. One feature I got which I just lucked out on because I wasn't knowledgeable when I bought them, is that mine are pretty much waterproof. My Teknic boots have an outer material which looks like leather, but it isn't, and it's waterproof. I've been through some fairly heavy rain and some snow, and my feet stayed dry, which is REALLY IMPORTANT to me!

Boots

I'm a fan of the Daytona Roadstars with the GoreTex liner - most comfortable boots I've ever owned and the workmanship and materials are top notch. The downside is of course the price (nearly $400 now) - somebody has to pay for the 3 day workweeks of the German cobblers!

I've been wearing a handmade pair by ZTechnik for the last 6 years. Very comfy, but not waterproof.

On of the guys on the LT list turned my on
to Altberg. A small company in England. I had the Microlite Roadsters made for me. Used by English motocops, waterproof and sturdy as hell. They were about 300 bones and it took awhile to get them.

Grif my friend, your link didn't work possibly due to too much humidity?
This link should get those few remaining conscious friends there (same as Grif's but this one works: http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/motorcycle1.jsp%22 )

I agree that Sidi makes excellent boots... I have been wearing them for years. But I would recommend staying away from Motonation... I've had some very bad experiences with them. I would highly recommend New Enough: http://www.newenough.com/product_group_boots_sidi.htm

It's not the speed that kills, it's the rate at which the speed diminishes...

ZTeknic. I stand corrected. I looked at the pics of the Sidi Strada, and wow, I like those. If I ever wear out the ZTeknics, I think the Sidis are in my future.

I've never worn mine out. Did have them re-soled at a local bootmaker. They are great boots, but they aren't waterproof. Wasn't that big of a problem on the LT, I'd grease them down real good before a long trip. The GT, on the other hand, doesn't quite have the same weather protection, especially on the feet and hands. Thusly, foresook and all them other antiquated and meaningless verbages.... HOLY SHITE, lost my train of thought with this nonsense!
