K1200GT New Tires: Brigestone or Metzler?

After Purchasing a 2008 K1200 GT, I expected based on everything I'd read, that the Stock tires would be Metzlers. Of course they weren't! Much to my surprise they were Bridgestones. My dealer said it was hit or miss what would be on a bike out of the crate.

What does anyone like or dislike about their brand.

Thanks so much.

Be safe!

The Bridgestone fronts scallop.

I've been real happy with the PR2's and have 7900 miles on a set. The Avon Storms have gotten good press and I can't wait to try the new Roadsmarts.

Metzlers better that stones-but not much. They probably won't, but ask them for Avon Storms-56 and 57's. Better than stones, metzs, mich and conti's. Conti's were really good, but my new Avons-2.5k miles now are perfect.

I am thinking about testing PR2 too. Been on Metz Z6 - the 3rd set now but my better half got the PR2CT and is more than happy.

Take care!

I have the Bridgestones on my 03 K12. They suck overall. I don't like them on a hard stop or in corners. Straight ahead they are great. I have to admit though that they haven't been too bad in the rain. I just don't trust them.
I'm working towards that sunny day to buy the Avon's.

+1 on Bridgestone front scallops, which I saw when I replaced them for Michelin Pilot Road 2s.
