Reinforced tires... Z8 'C' and PR3 'B'

I noticed Acemeboy's post on the 'C' rated Z8's. The Metzler site does not, as far as I can see, mention the 'C' rating for their tire... I found it on the on a tire reseller's site (same with Acemeboy I think). What is the secret?

The 'B' rated PR3 is identified on the Michelin site (in text, not in the list of sizes), but no one here has discussed (as far as I can see)... is there a reason for that?

Report from local dealer is that the Z8 'C' tracks better and is in fact the BMW-recommended tire. I don't know with the PR3's.

Both tire brands for suitable sizes, without the reinforcing, are rated OK for the weight of the bike (58W and 73W).

Ive found this too, but when I went to my Tyre Dealer his catalogues do show the different specs for each bike.

Thing is BMW and Metzler themselves only show the Z8 as a recommended tyre for the K1600's and the R1200RT's with a C spec only for the rear.

Ive got a 1300GT and both BMW and Metzler still only list the older Z6 as recommended tyre with a C front and a K rear.

As far as I can tell BMW themselves do not list any Michelin tyres as a recommended fitment but I would go with what the tyre manufacturer lists

Im running Bridgestone BT023GT's at present but will be going to Mich PR3's soon.
