12V Compressors

Does anyone have any recommendations on which 12 volt compressor to buy? Something small to carry on the bike. I recently found out how valuable these things are when my truck tire went flat and a buddy met me on the road with the one he carries in his car.

I've done what several folks have suggested: Go to Wal-Mart, buy the least-expensive 12V air compressor they have (Campbell Hausfeld about $15-$20), remove it from the big plastic case that houses it and just carry the guts.

I have had the michelin digital compresser but it stopped working,I would just buy anyone and get a adapter as they have a cigerette lighter adapter at the end,I attach mine straight to the battery. The compresser is really useful if you have a puncture so that you can just pump the tyre up and fix the tyre and you won't have to worry that the co2 bottles is going to run out before you have fixed tyre.

there are three other compressors I have seen. Slim makes one (35.00) and Adventure Designs(www.advdesigns.com)(about 40.00). Then there is the Cycle Pump (www.bestrestproducts.com)(100.00)
