Tires from SW Moto for my RS

I've emailed SW moto (they don't list a phone number) and haven't got a reply in a few days. So I'll pose the question here:

I've looked at the Bridgestone web site and figured out what tires I want according to their OE and Article designations. But, when you buy from most resellers they only show a size.

Is there any way to order these tires by the Bridgestone numbers (letters)?

For my RS I'm trying to buy:

BT014 (front): Article # 039483, OE = "G" 120/70 ZR17
[Alternate: Article # 067363, OE = "J"]

BT020 (rear): Article # 021752, OE = "CC" 180/55 ZR17

Since Bridgestone doesn't list the RS or GT in their BT014 chart I've picked two tires that match in diameter and tread depth (the G and J models).

Just order by size. SW Moto is closed on weekends so you may not get an immediate response, it's a true Mom & Pop business. I've ordered from them online with no problems, and I stopped there on my way home from Alaska and had a set of Avons ( 2nd set) mounted. The Avons replaced the BT20's, I like them much better than the Bridgestones.

James is right - get those Avons! I just bought the Conti RAs because I was looking for a better mileage tire than the Avons, but am disappointed with the tires - high pucker factor in the rain, also a bit squirrelly on tar snakes. I've decided I don't care about the mileage, it's the fun factor I'm after, so screw the cost, I'm going back to Avons as soon as these Contis are melted off.

SW does not list thier number as they "he" don't really have the staff to deal with a phone on that kind of scale. Blaine will get back to you someday. But if you can't wait, try AMERICANMOTOTIRES.com

Next gen. K tires

A riding buddy and I now have new Ks and love them. His R came with the michelens, my GT came with the bridgestones and both of them suck compared to the Z6s. Look closely and realize that there are now two additional designated Z6s for the new BMW. The hexhead RTs take the Z6 "C" at both ends, the K "R" takes a Z6k at the front and a Z6c at the rr. and the GT. takes Z6"K"s at both ends. The metzelers as a rule will do better in the rain, and all around will last as long as any. We like them best for the profile, which is more rounded for better neutral steering. By now we're thinking that this is too much to keep up with for "special" tires, I suspect that metzeler will have a new tire by spring that will service all of these bikes, as Dunlap did this year with the qualifier now replaceing the 206/207 lines. A new tire of any brand is better than one that might not make it to the rally or finish the trip, so whether you mount your own or not, keep a set ahead on the shelf, thier good for five years in a cool dry place. The two sites our club riders use most are, SWMOTOTIRES.com and americanmototires.com Keep on bikeing... Krunch... CYCLE TIRE & LUBE Jackson TN.
