Help! Anybody with plastics off at the mo?

Hi, I'm just replacing the rads and coolant reservoir and I can't remember the route taken by the reservoir hose which leaves the top of the left rad. and gets itself somehow to the back of the battery box.

If anybody can describe the route as best they can that would be helpful, also if and where there might be any clips you can see.

The pipe is long enough to run a few ways, but I'd like to get it back as it was.

Thanks - Vox

Will this help you out??? It's the same routing for all Gen. 1 RS/GT's.

Brucecha, Thanks ...... doooh, why do I never look at these artists impressions!!

They say when you pull everything out to mark where it goes, I'm not sure how you do that when there's so much of it!

On first firing I just got the GT fast idle problem on my KRS which has never done it before.

Ah but when I look at the hose clip for airbox rubber '3' I see the screw thread is long enough for it to hit the throttle cable quadrant and make it stick. I didn't realise the fast idle problem was so simple!

Just got everything from the tranni back to fit and I'll be beaming up.

What pics would you like first:

Foolproof method to fill up the cooling system and stop airlocks.
Things you should know about BMW paint finishes: removing/repairing and re-coating?
Design thinking and method used to fabricate a pair of high spec. rads made by a specialist, including thermostat and bypass?
Why my KRS gets too hot in traffic?
Front wheel bearings & seals- remove and replace?
Serious alterations to the cylinder head and timing cover to stop oil leaks and oil pressure loss?
How to stop clutch fluid pissing on the clutch when the slave seal fails.
Tell tale in clutch housing to monitor for oil seal leak.
Manufacture re-useable NBR gaskets for various covers to stop oil leaks?
Designing and fitting an oil pressure guage?
Building, fitting out and controlling a cheap pair of 4" HID driving lights from kit parts?
Eliminating KRS clutch rattle?
Re-designing the oem loadshare relay operation to be more suitable for HID?
Working towards sequential firing of fuel injectors - sensor already fitted to camshaft?
Changing the fuel pump tank seal to a gasket that doesn't leak?
Fitting a magnet particle trap to the sump cover?
How to eliminate leaks on the timing cover?
Re-building a rear drive and using an alternative method to setup bearing pre-load?
Removing and replacing exhaust header fixings with alternatives that shouldn't sieze, rust or be difficult to remove?

Getting the work done and testing takes priority over posting pics which would be pretty useless on their own, but of course I have some, except the sort that replicate those on pages of the Clymer manual.

Not everybody would be up for some of these things which are very serious improvements. BMW probably sorted these out after my bike left their factory in '97. I have no limits. You'll just have to be patient a while longer.

Well, last we saw of the bike it was pretty much in minimal bits. Yeah...putting the bike back together is a higher priority than taking pics. But, one or two overall progress pics would be good...
