Question ? Torque specs

Wonder if anyone would give me the torque requirement for the rear wheel bolts and the rear caliper screws for a 05 K1200S? Took off the rear wheel and caliper to check the pads. Pads seemed ok in thickness and not glazed noticeably. Sanded the pads and reassembled things. Am not getting good rear wheel braking. Will check the braking once things are torqued down. Has anyone had trouble with the rear brake? Any and all help appreciated. Haven't been able to buy the CD yet.

Do a search. The rear brake pedal and spring bind and don't allow the rear master cylinder to work well.

There was a recall or a service bulletin for bikes for a certain model years.

And an 05 is prolly due for a brake fluid flush if it hasn't been done.

K12r rear brakes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have about 700 miles on my k12r. No ABS. The rear bakes seem weak compared to say my ducati monster that I bought for my wife or my sons R6. They will lock if you really step on them and the dealer tells me it is supposed to be like that. Has anyone had this experience?
************************************************** ********************

goes on for about 5 or 6 pages. Guess the rear brakes suck. Still need to torque things down, anyone have the specs?

Here's the link to the modded pedal thread.

I'm not sure if the recall/bulletin info is in that post or not.

Rear wheel bolts torque/ brake flushing

Thanks for that, 60 nm. The brake may still suck but at least I know now. In regards to the brake flushing, would that have been done on the 6k or 12k service do you know? The 12k was done last December with 13,000 miles on the bike. Couldn't get the service records from the dealer.

You're prolly using a Dot 4, which is hydrosc.... hydrog.... it gets moisture in it. Usually every two years. Pop the top on your master cylinder on the handlebar. If it looks discolored and there's gunk on the bottom, it's time to flush.
