Clean oil in sight tube

I change oil every 3K miles using Mobile 1 5-30. It never gets too hot where I am and the traffic is minimal so the light weight oil works well. After many oil changes I got tired of seeing old oil in the sight tube and decided to fill through it instead of the filler at the tank top to flush out the old oil.

I could not find tubing of the correct size, but I had a long neck funnel that sealed the "O" rings on the top piece of the sight tube perfectly. Filling is very slow but I now have clean new oil in the sight tube. There is no oil movement to speak of in the sight tube so it stays clear. Purely cosmetic, but the rest of the bike looks "showroom" as well.

What kid of bike are you putting that in? A wet clutch should have motorcycle oil not Mobil1, and 3000 miles is excessive. I know I did it for no good reason for years, the oil was nearly clear at change intervals, and a long trip was a pain in the ass since I needed to change the oil during the trip. All for naught in my oppinion, follow the service intervals established by BMW.
