ABS fault on K1200RS

Hi There, I'm a new BMW owner ( after many years of admiring ) and have never ridden a bike with ABS system before previously riding a Ducati.
I bought my bile as wreck (had front end damage ) and thanks to Beemerboneyard Ive just got her on the road. I did notice from the beginning ( at the time I purchased it ) that the ABS dash lights where flashing alternately.
Now that I've ridden her around, the lights are still flashing When applying the rear brake (without the front ) braking is fairly average-poor, however when braking with both brakes applied she brakes well, and when braking very hard ( with both brakes ) the rear wheel will skid but she stop's very well and I've not done the gravel brake test as yet
I obviously have found and joined this site ( thanks to all ) and have read many threads on the ABS system, I have bleed the system & checked that the rear brake pedal is not holding on ( returning fully ) and that the battery is fully charged.
I realise that I will have to get a dynastic check to go any further however I'd be interested in any bodies experiences prior to taking her to the devil ( dealers in Australia are no better than in America and are sure to tell me it's the $$$$$ modutator ).
Regards

There should be a flash code chart on you rear wheel well under the seat that will tell you what is going on with your brakes If not then you need to look in the owners manual
