temperature guage sender

i have just bought myself a 2002 k1200rs,very impressed,but i have a faulty temp guage,can anyone help me by explaining where i can find the sender unit so i can check the wiring etc?a link for a wiring diagram would be usefull if anyone knows of one?many thanks.

You need to get a Clymer manual from Amazon or Motobins. These bikes are full of expensive electronics and more complicated than bikes 20 years ago!

The temperature sensor for the gauge is next to the oil sensor on the water pump housing. But if you don't know where that is you definitely need a manual!

Your problem will propbably be at the sensor or the instrument head. end.
