EWS problem

I think my EWS has failed and I was wondering how hard is it to replace and how much the unit cost or even about what a dealer charges for replacing it.

It has been on a battery tender for several days and today I went to check it over for ridding to work tomorrow and all I get is the big EWS on the display.

It is a 06 K1200GT with 8K miles

Antenna ring. It should have been recalled and replaced yrs ago. No records when you bought her? Have to take it to stealer for recall and fix--shouldn't cost anything..

The PO is local and he got it new here so they should have maint records, I will call them tomorrow? I did see a list of affected VIN's and mine is about 500 numbers short of the list.

it is out of warrenty so I will probably replace it my self.

first try to get the dealer to replace it as it was a multi year recall. They might surprise you-especially if they want your future business. Everything is negotiable!

guess they did not want to shock me but then it was only $47 and I put it in. They did say that it was replaced in 07 but the bike was under warrenty then
