K12R sportego bar conversion tamper proof screw removal

I bought the Wunderlich sportego bar kit and don't want to ruin my stock bar holder drilling out the tamper proof screws that hold the fork lock and ignition switch on the K12R . The reprom doesn't say what size bit or how deep to drill before turning the original bar holder into a boat anchor or oversize paperwieght. I have drilled a pilot hole with a very small bit and then used a larger bit to cut off the head and it still won't come apart. I looked thru the threads and haven't found any answers. Hoping to find some one with experience in removing the tamper proofs to offer some advice. If I don't like the sportego set up I would like to be able to reuse my original bar mount.

Took time to think and figured out what to do. Easy out what's left of the tamper proof bolt. After removal, found that I was almost there but like I said didn't want to risk damage to original parts. The sportego bar kit is installed.
