The clutch lever adjuster screw on my 06 K12R seemed like it didn't fit well and on occasion backed out and had to be readjusted. As an after thought I should have used something to make it grip the threads better. The adjuster completely backed out during a ride and I didn't notice it till I downshifted when I got off the interstate. BMW does not sell the adjuster screw seperately you must buy a lever to obtain the adjuster screw. I want new aftermarket levers but, not at this time. I just bought cases and bar kit and need to replentish fun money funds. Any ideas for alternate replacement screw? I thought about the nylon toggle bolts that are used for holding the seat on your typical toilet. Just seems wrong! The adjuster screw is tapered but, it is nylon so it shouldn't hurt the threads in the lever if I use a straight nylon bolt that I have tapered the end of. Should I try this? Any other ideas? Is there a way to get this adjuster screw without buying the whole lever? If anybody that has changed out their levers and has a clutch lever adjustment screw or used lever with screw they would be willing to sell let me know.
