RS Fuel Filter

How critical is it to reclamp thevent lines on the fuel pump / filter assembly (item 3, the bottom 2 clamps)? I didn't have any clamps that small, and the hoses fit snug, so ....

These are vent lines, not the filter. It is properly clamped.

I use S/S safety wire (two wraps and a couple a twists) to fix them to the stubs on the filter plate (sorta like the old English style radiator clamps.)
