clutch pushrod felt

Where the hell does this felt go? There wasn't one when I took the clutch apart. There is no reference to it in the instructions. I am inching my way toward completion.

.......Where the hell does this felt go?

Sometimes these diagrams are helpful working out the bits left over after putting it all back together. Ooops, I mean't working out how it all goes back together, before you close everything up. NO parts left over, unless you know why!

Thanks, the old rod does not have the groove or felt, and the fiche doesn't show it either. Should it be greased I wonder?
