u-joint alignment?

When putting the driveshaft back on a K12RS is it necessary to align the upper u-joint with the lower one in the final drive? On most 90 degree u-joints this is the norm, isn't it? Opinions?

Drive shafts must be in phase. The slip shaft splines must be installed so that the yoke ends are inline with each other. This is so the drive line will extend and retrack in the same plane.
If it is out of phase the drive line will bind and vibrate.
