So my bike was running like a top, but I decided to replace my throttle cable before I head out on a long trip. The cable replacement was pretty straight forward, but now that everything is back together, it's not starting properly. It turns over but will only idle at very low rpms like it's on the verge of stalling. If I give it any gas at all it cuts out. I tried letting it run. I left it overnight and still the same thing.
I should note that I tried to start the bike to test the cable adjustment before I hooked the air filter box backup. It backfired and wouldn't start. Did I cause some damage? I'm stumped right now, but I can't help but think it's something minor based on the fact that it ran great before.
Any ideas for trouble shooting? Any help would be appreciated as I'm hoping to head out on my trip on Wednesday with a bike that runs!
